What this site collects
Nothing, directly. PartCompatible sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, has no user accounts, and hosts no forms. Reading this site does not create a profile of you anywhere we control.
Information that reaches us anyway
Two kinds of information exist even for a site that collects nothing itself:
- Email you send. If you write to the contact address below, we receive your email address and whatever you chose to include. It is used to respond to you and for nothing else; it is not sold, shared, or added to any list.
- Hosting logs. The platform that serves this site keeps standard web-server request logs, which include visitor IP addresses. Those logs are generated and retained by the hosting provider under its own privacy policy; we do not use them to identify visitors.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links (see theaffiliate disclosure). When you follow one, you leave this site, and the retailer's own privacy policy and cookies govern from there. Affiliate programs report commissions to us in aggregate; they do not send us information identifying you.
Applicable law
PartCompatible is operated from Texas, United States by an individual sole proprietor. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code ch. 541) exempts a small business as defined by the United States Small Business Administration from its controller obligations, with one exception that still applies: a small business may not sell sensitive personal data without prior consent (§541.107). This site qualifies for that exemption and, in any case, sells no personal data of any kind — sensitive or otherwise.
This site does not meet the applicability thresholds of the California Consumer Privacy Act, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (this site does not offer goods or services to persons in the EU), or other state privacy laws with revenue or data-volume thresholds. If the site's operation changes in a way that brings any of them into scope, this policy will be revised before that change takes effect.
Changes
This policy is revised in place; the effective date above changes when the policy does.
